Winterguard members must continue their enrollment in Guard class throughout the year. The unit rehearses 2-3 days per week, and these rehearsals are required. Wind players who join Winterguard must also continue their instrumental studies in a regular band class. Winterguard members have an additional financial obligation, determined at the beginning of each Winter season, based on show design, performances, and membership.

Participation in any outside ensembles (Independent groups) while BHS has an active team group is not allowed. Biloxi HS and its Band program must be the students' top priority. No waivers will be granted once a student has auditioned or participated in one or more rehearsals for any season. Students may be held from performances, trips, or optional program activities if required fees, deposits, payment plan obligations, or fundraising obligations are past due or otherwise unresolved, at the discretion of the Directors.
