The Indoor Percussion Ensemble participates in the MPAA/MIA Circuit alongside Winterguar
The Indoor Percussion Ensemble participates in the MPAA/MIA Circuit alongside Winterguard groups, operating from November until April. Although the ensemble is primarily for percussion students, non-percussionists may audition. Wind players who demonstrate satisfactory progress on their primary instrument are eligible to audition.

Wind players who make the ensemble must also continue their instrumental studies in a regular band class with specific performance contract requirements set forth by the Director. Similar to Winterguard, there is an additional financial obligation for students in this ensemble, determined at the beginning of the season based on show design, performances, and membership. Students may only participate in Independent ensembles if Biloxi HS does not have a competitive unit, a determination made each year in October/November.

No waivers will be signed by Administration or Directors once a student has auditioned or participated in rehearsals for any season.
