The spirit of biloxi

The Spirit of Biloxi is the premier performance ensemble of the Biloxi High School Band program. All members participate in the marching band to remain eligible for the program’s concert, jazz, winter, and indoor ensembles. The Spirit of Biloxi represents Biloxi High School at varsity football games, parades, community events, and other featured performances throughout the year.

Each season, the ensemble competes in four to five Saturday marching competitions, including the State Marching Evaluation and the State Marching Band Championships. These events provide students with the opportunity to perform at the highest level while representing their school and community across the region.

Students participate in spring training camps and Summer Band Camp, beginning in July and continuing until school begins. During the school year, the ensemble typically rehearses after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional Saturday rehearsals. All camps, rehearsals, competitions, and performances are mandatory. Dates are published on the program calendar as soon as details are finalized, typically before summer begins.
